The Development/Configuration phase utilizes an iterative approach to developing the application. Checkpoints are built into the process to review development. At the completion of this phase, the application is developed, unit tested, and ready for beta and general release.

This phase focuses on four key areas: Configuration, other applications, Content, and Must-have Customizations. Prioritized designs are developed to the design specifications. Must-have customizations are built and tested individually to ensure that detailed programming logic functions properly.

The development of content usually requires a significant contribution on the part of
the client. It is during this stage that the client gathers the copy, graphical assets, artwork and layout for the site and begins to populate the new web site.
